a few sketches

Here are a few of the sketches I did this past Crawl...The first two were at the mall and the third was at the Coffee Bean, just down the street. We had a great turn out that day, about 13 sketchers! So take your favorite drawings and post 'em up! I'd really like to take a sample of everyone's drawings and post them up onto the official SketchCrawl Forums, so the rest of the world can see what we did. Sound good? Good! :)

I apologize for the late notice, but today is SketchCrawl #21! So far the plan is to go to the Valencia Town Center mall, and to sketch anything we see along the way.
Perhaps we can all meet up at the end of the day back at school and share our drawings.

January 10th!

Hey Everyone!
I hope you all had a fantastic winter break. Now it's time to get back in the swing of things...including SketchCrawl! The next official world-wide all-day drawing marathon happens on Saturday, January 10th! That's coming right up. So if any of you Calartians have suggestions for any cool places to crawl, post it up or leave a comment. Wanna just walk down to the Starbucks and sketch around there (if the weather's permitting)? Or around campus? Want to draw wherever and then meet up at the end of the day? Share your thoughts. :)

First Semester sketches

Hi there fellow crawlers! What a semester that was! I feel like crap, but more importantly, I thought I'd share some of the sketches I made on various crawls this semester. These are all I have scanned right now. Enjoy, and think about posting some of your own as well. Keep the blog alive people. Happy Holidays.

results for first crawl

Last week was the first SketchCrawl at Calarts!! We started off at the school and then headed down to the marketplace in Valencia. There were some pretty nice things to draw down there. I spotted this kid playing soccer with his daddio...and there were of course the unsuspecting courtyard coffee drinkers. There were some cute little dogs too. Back at the school I drew some flowers and a row of fire extinguishers as well. It got hot pretty quick so we were only out for an hour or so, but I think a good time was had by all who attended.

Next time hopefully the official SC day won't land on the same weekend as the 48 hour film! We can do this kind of thing any day actually, so if anyone gets the urge to go sketch, post it up and we can have our own mini-crawl inbetween official SketchCrawl days. Sound good? Good!
